Rava Uttapam



Ingredients:

1 Cup sooji/Rava
1/2 cup curd
1/4 tsp baking soda
Salt
Onion finely chopped
Tomato finely chopped
Coriander
Green chilli/Kanda lasun masala/red chilli powder
Butter
Oil/butter
Cheese - Optional


Method:

In a bowl take rava. Add soda and curd, mix it well.
Add water to make medium consistency batter.
Consistency of batter should be thick than dosa batter.
Cover and keep the batter aside to rest for around 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, take batter and add finely chopped onions, coriander, green chilli, Tomato - optional and mix it well.

Heat up a pan, add some oilbutter and spread it.
Add the batter at the centre of the pan and spread it.

Add oil/butter on Uttapam and along its edges.
After roasting Uttapam for about 2-3 minutes from one side flip it over.

Roast it well from other side as well,flip it again. Add grated cheese on top this step is optional. 
Once done take it off the pan.
Server this Uttapam with any chutney, tomato ketchup or you can eat this Uttapam as it is.


Note:
You can make dosa with the batter as well. Just add more water and make the runny consistency of the batter.
You can add more vegetables as well as per your choice.
